about

artist: Oddknock
title: Computer Age
label: .x.
catalog number: :...

Oddknock was a key figure in mid to late 2000s era of live electronic shows in Gainesville, Florida. His big beats & catchy electronics recalled a time when people used the term "industrial" to refer to dance floor ready releases from Skinny Puppy, Meat Beat Manifesto, and the Wax Trax! label, but mixed with a healthy dose of Miami bass & rollerskating rink electroboogie a la Newcleus & chiptune elements.

"Computer Age," Oddknock's second album, was almost lost when his computer with all the files died. Years later while having a frustrating time trying to recreate the culmination of so many hours of work he remembered that he had burned a disc of the album for a friend to listen to. This is that almost lost album.

Recorded between 2008 to 2009 and originally intended for a 2010 release on Oddknock's own label, Metric System, .x. is proud to finally bring these tunes to your ears in 2013!

It's a Computer Age... remember to back everything up!
